I Love the Scrapbook Expo!

I went to the scrapbook expo this weekend. I get so excited about this twice a year! I think they should have it four times a year. I bought all of this for $15. It came with 12x12 album, a 8x8 album, a soft-back 8x8 album, paper/embellishments, a digital scrap-booking disk! I couldn't pass up that deal. I wanted to buy two, but I refrained.

Flower Hair Bows

I made these bows for my daughter, who is a total princess and has to dress like one too! She got so excited when I told her I was making her some more bows. I bought the flowers at Roberts Crafts. They come color coordinated, so they are really easy to put together. I found the giant jewels at Michael's Crafts. They are actually brads, so they were even easier to put together than using hot glue. I bought so alligator clips at Sally's Beauty Supply. You can buy 100 for like 5 bucks. I hot glued some matching ribbon to the alligator clip and then hot glued it to the flowers. Super Easy! They only took me about an hour from start to finish (While I was watching 3 kids)!

Fun Spring Card

I made a bunch of these cards for my mom. She likes to have "anytime" cards on hand. I used pretty in pink stampin' up card stock for the background (which is an 8 1/2'"x 11" sheet cut in half and then folded in half) The black card stock is 5" x3 3/4" and the green polka dot is 4 3/4"x 3 1/2". The white strip is 1 1/2" x 5 1/4". I stamped it with a few different stamps and then used the scallop edge punch. And then just used the round scallop for the green flower up top. Then use a dimensional to raise it up. It was fairly easy to make.

Easter Block

I bought a shower block from Lowes, and then cut out letters on my Cricut Machine. I used the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. And then I just added some fun Easter ribbon to finish it off. I love these. They are so easy and it is such a cute decoration for all your different holidays. You could even just keep using the same block over and over if you just change the vinyl.

Canvas Board: Live Laugh Love!

I made this for a friend as a thank you! I got the idea from Good Things Utah. I bought a 12x12 canvas art board from Robert, and painted it black. Then I used my Cricut Machine to cut out the cute white Vinyl. I used the Accents Essentials cartridge for the outside design and the cursive cartridge for the words. Then I just attached a red ribbon so you can hang it on the wall! (Oh and I did cover it in Modge-Podge so the Vinyl stuck on really well)

Birthday Card

I made 25 of this birthday card for my mom. She likes me to make her a new one each year that she can send out to all her loved ones on their birthday. I was really happy with way it turned out. I love the colors. I used light purple for the background card stock color. (Which is an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper cut in half and then folded in half) The dark purple layer, I believe, is 5 1/4 x 4) Then I cut out the green piece of paper with my cricut machine. I used the Accents Essentials cartridge, and you can cut it out any where from 3 1/4" to 3 3/4" and it will work just great. Make sure you put the whole thing together on the dark purple paper, including the ribbon, before you glue it to the main card light purple card piece. I used a Stampin' Up square scallop punch to cut out the birthday present and then attached it with a "library clip".

Spring Wreath

I made this super cute wreath with my girls Alison and Tara! We got together on Wednesday night at Alison's house. We had food, lots of paper and time a way from all the kiddos! Thanks to Tara who provided all the paper, accessories, and slice machines! She is a designer for Making Memories, so she was able to get us each slice machine on loan!

We each cut out what seemed like a 1000 flowers, and then we layered different size flowers on top of each other. Next we curled the edges of all the flowers to give it some dimension. Last, we hot glued them all on to a Styrofoam wreath! I was so happy with the way it turned out!

Valentine Quilt

I know Valentine's Day has been over for two weeks now, but I had to show off my quilt that I made. I had so much fun making it with my mom, sister, sisters-in-law and mother-in-law. We all made the same quilt, but all with different fabrics. They all turned out so cute. It is meant to be used as a table topper, so you may have already seen it in some of my other Valentines day pictures. We had a lady in my mother-in-laws ward come show us some tricks and tips to making a quilt and she saved us a lot of time. She taught us that when you are sewing the same square 32 times that you basically connect them all together. Then cut and iron them all while they are still connected instead of doing them one by one. That was just one of the many ideas. Thanks Kathy!
